 About Toronto Ride
 Our Mission
To help people live independently by providing assisted transportation to seniors and adults with disabilities, who are not able to access other means of transport and require personalized care.
The Objective
- To increase client access to transportation services through a co-ordinated network of agencies.
- To increase the capacity of community transportation by sharing unused and underused resources through co-ordination and support.
- To improve the quality and effectiveness of community transportation services.
- To encourage awareness of accessible community transportation issues.
Our History
Toronto Ride is a 'pioneer' grassroots initiative that formed to respond to the growing transportation needs of seniors and adults with disabilities. It was originally funded in 1998 by Community Transportation Action Project (CTAP), then by United Way and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
