General Description:
Toronto Ride central support enables the network to grow and expand in order to maximize service capacity to provide seniors with quality transportation efficiently and effectively. The central support is responsible for the overall operations of the transportation network, including, but not limited to: financial management of Toronto Ride funds and business functions, common standards including quality and risk management, training, software development and management, central access hub, system view planning and decision-making, equipment maintenance, and the network’s information technology system.
SPRINT (Senior Peoples’ Resources in North Toronto) is the legal entity for Toronto Ride.
Responsibilities:
Ø Ensure Toronto Ride central support initiatives are delivered within the mandate, mission, vision, objectives, policies and procedures, related governance statements, within relevant legislative requirements.
Ø Data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
Ø First point of contact for Toronto Ride network computer problems, user support for Toronto Ride software. Liaison with IT support and software vendor.
Ø Implement integration plans for transportation services for the smooth effective functioning of Toronto Ride activities.
Ø Integrate new business with existing Toronto Ride capacities.
Ø Facilitate and record Toronto Ride meetings.
Ø Identify and implement training sessions across the transportation network.
Ø Assist in the implementation of program evaluation, quality and risk management activities.
Ø Balance community needs with the capability and capacity of the system to ensure service delivery excellence is maintained.
Ø Identify and support opportunities for innovation and change management.
Ø Highlight the needs of program clients and transportation system issues on the whole for the network and the community.
Ø Monitor service delivery, and output in relation to indicators/ performance targets through regular reports.
Ø Work cooperatively and collegially within the network and with external stakeholders and vendors.
Ø Participate actively and productively as a member of the Toronto Ride team; Toronto Ride Committee meetings and other internal/ external forums in a cooperative, constructive and positive manner.
Qualifications:
Ø Post secondary degree/diploma in a related field.
Ø 3-5 years working in seniors’ transportation.
Ø Excellent client ride scheduling skills.
Ø Strong understanding of joint processes and procedures across a network environment. Service coordination experience.
Ø Excellent administrative and time management skills.
Ø Demonstrated skills and experience supervising volunteers and staff, preferably in a community based, unionized setting.
Ø Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work in a team setting; able to work under pressure.
Ø Proven skills with TRACT (transportation software), CIMS, MS ACESS, MS Excel and word processing.
Ø Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, colleagues, community partners and other stakeholders to achieve a common mission.
Ø An understanding of and sensitivity to the seniors’ population.
Ø Sensitivity to the complex and collegial relationship within Toronto Ride network.
