 Volunteer with Toronto Ride
Toronto Ride always needs volunteers. Seniors and adults with disabilities face many mobility challenges when going to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or attending community programs. For many of them it may be their only opportunity to get out into the community. By volunteering as a driver or an escort, you can help meet the medical, social, and emotional needs of people in your community.
To volunteer, please contact the Service Provider Agency in your area. Any help you can provide is very much appreciated.
Volunteer Transportation Driver
| Responsibilities: |
- To provide safe and reliable transportation to seniors and individuals with disabilities to medical and other important appointments
|

- Assist client in and out of the vehicle
- Provide light and friendly conversation with client during ride
- Maintain client confidentiality
|
|
- Valid driver's license
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- Current personal car insurance
- Police Records check
|
Time Commitment: |
- Any time Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., 4 to 6 hours a week
|
Training: |
- Orientation/training provided
|
